Finally, there are the green Nagas, who are closest to humans. Green Nagas can shapeshift into human form, fall in love, and guard sacred temples.

In Isan culture, people still celebrate the Naga today. Every year, thousands of people gather along the river to watch the "Naga Fireballs." Glowing red light balls shoot out of the river into the sky. Local people believe the Naga King is shooting these fireballs to celebrate a holy holiday.
