The Thai cinematic landscape is set for a significant tremor with the release of เลือดรักนักฆ่า (My Dearest Assassin), a high-octane action-romance film slated to premiere on May 7, 2026. Directed by the visionary Taweewat Wanttha, known for his kinetic visual style and genre-bending storytelling, the film explores a visceral world where a rare blood type becomes a death sentence. The narrative follows Lhan, a young Vietnamese girl possessing a biological rarity that makes her the target of a ruthless hunter named Phruek. After the murder of her parents, Lhan is taken in by a clandestine family of assassins in Thailand, known as "House 89." There, she is raised alongside the leader’s son, Prant, and an orphan named M, setting the stage for a story that blends lethal combat with the complexities of "found family" and forbidden love.

Behind the camera, Taweewat Wanttha serves as the primary creative force. His notable claim to fame is the cult classic Sars Wars and the horror-comedy Long Khong (Art of the Devil), works that established him as a master of stylish, high-energy cinema. His involvement suggests that My Dearest Assassin will move beyond standard melodrama, offering gritty, well-choreographed action sequences that utilize the physical prowess of its lead cast.

In front of the camera, the film features a powerhouse trio of Thai superstars. Baifern (Pimchanok Luevisadpaibul) takes on the lead role of Lhan. Baifern’s claim to fame began with the legendary rom-com First Love (A Little Thing Called Love), but she has since evolved into one of Thailand’s most versatile actresses, earning international acclaim for her role in the transgender drama The Leaf. Joining her is Tor (Thanapob Leeratanakachorn) as Prant. Tor is widely regarded as one of the best actors of his generation, having shot to fame in the rebellious teen series Hormones and cementing his elite status with an award-winning performance in Project S: Side by Side. The cast is rounded out by Porsche (Sivakorn Adulsuttikul), a former member of the T-pop group TRINITY. Porsche’s claim to fame lies in his dual talent as a top-tier idol and a rising actor, previously seen in the hit series In Family We Trust. Supporting the leads are industry veterans Toni Rakkaen, portraying the antagonist Phruek, and Chai (Chatayodom Hiranyatithi) as the patriarch of the assassin house.

For international fans of the Suvarno "T-Wave," My Dearest Assassin is highly accessible. The film is a Netflix Original, meaning it is available to watch globally in over 190 countries. This worldwide distribution ensures that the intense chemistry between Baifern and Tor, coupled with the film's sleek production values, can be experienced by a global audience simultaneously with its domestic Thai release.
