Buckle up, besties, because Netflix Thailand just dropped a total absolute bop of an announcement! If you thought your 2026 watchlist was already stacked, think again. One of the most main character energy titles in their massive new slate is the high-octane action thriller "My Dearest Assassin" (working title: Blood of Love / Leat Rak Nak Kha). It’s giving sleek, it’s giving gritty, and honestly? It’s giving us everything we didn't know we needed.
The Plot: It’s Giving Rare Blood & Family Drama
The story follows a young woman born into the ultimate "gatekeep, gaslight, girlboss" nightmare. Hunted because she possesses a super rare blood type, she’s been raised in the shadows of a secret family of assassins. But here’s the twist: while her kin are out here doing the most, she was never actually trained to catch bodies, she was kept as a protected "asset."
When a vengeful villain from the past decides to spawn-camp her life and claim her blood, her world literally shatters. Forced to finally stop being a "civilian," she has to undergo a major glow-up in the training room and fight alongside the person she loves to reclaim her freedom. It’s a "nature vs. nurture" arc that is going to be straight fire.
The Cast: A Total Serving of Talent
The casting directors really said, "Let's break the internet," because they paired up two of Thailand’s biggest icons. Taking center stage is the literal queen Pimchanok Luevisadpaibul, aka Baifern, playing our hunted protagonist, Lhan. Baifern has been mothering the Thai film industry for years, from her legendary start in Crazy Little Thing Called Love to her unhinged range in Girl from Nowhere and The Con-Heartist.
Starring alongside her is the internet's favorite heartthrob Thanapob Leeratanakachorn (Tor) as Pran. Tor is a certified "acting titan" who’s been living rent-free in our heads since his intense lead in the Bad Genius series and his spooky-good performance in the Netflix hit Ghost Lab. Seeing these two transition from dramatic darlings to gritty, blade-wielding warriors in a deadly assassin family dynamic is the "enemies-to-lovers-to-lethal" crossover event of the century!
The Visionaries: No Cap, This Crew is Elite
The squad behind the camera is just as awesome as the cast! The film is being helmed by Director Taweewat Wantha, a total legend of genre-bending who gave us cult classics like The Heirloom and the wild action-horror Sars Wars. He knows exactly how to make a scene look aesthetic while keeping the adrenaline 100.
The script is penned by Wattana Weerayawattana, who is known for writing stories that hit you right in the feels while keeping the tension high-key. Alongside Executive Producer Oraphan Arjsamat and the production house Sunwrite Moonact, they are aiming to take Thai action to a whole new level of "extra."
When is the Release? Yeah about that...
While we don't have an exact drop date yet, Netflix confirmed this banger is a cornerstone of their 2026 Thailand Slate. With production values that are clearly "high-budget coded" and a cast that is pure gold, this is set to be the "John Wick meets Romeo & Juliet" moment that will have us all sat. Get your popcorn ready!
